Chevrolet is known for both their classic muscle car creations as well as economy cars for those who are a little more reserved in their driving. Nevertheless, one of the auto brand’s staple cars that has been an American classic since 1953, is the Corvette. In celebration of the wonderful classic, Chevrolet is rolling out the Corvette 427 Convertible with a 60th anniversary package that car collectors and Chevy fans alike are gonna clamor for.
The 2013 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible takes it cue from the Corvette Z06 and borrows its 427 cubic inch LS7 V8 engine, drive line, rear axle and selective ride control features. This gives the the new six speed Corvette 470 lbs of torque, while new carbon fiber components lighten the car’s weight to 3355 pounds, making it the fastest Corvette to date. Chevy will debut this beautiful new offering at the Barrett Jackson Car Auction in Arizona, January 21. Learn more about this upcoming offering at Chevrolet.com.
